On May 23, 2026, the Province of the Sisters of Divine Providence in Brazil celebrated the first profession of Sister Amanda Pires Lima and Sister Ana Luiza de Souza Troian, a milestone in their vocational journey and in the life of the entire Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence.
On this special day, we thanked God for the gift of vocation and for the generous "yes" of our fellow sisters who have chosen to consecrate their lives to the Lord and to live with love, belonging and willingness to live the mission of love and service, especially towards those most in need.
The celebration was marked by deep emotion, joy and gratitude. In the midst of smiles, hugs and signs of affection, family members, sisters, friends and members of the communities gathered to witness this important step in the journey of faith of Sr. Amanda and Sr. Ana Luiza. It was also a moment of renewal of hope and certainty that it is worth trusting in God's providence, which guides every vocation with wisdom, tenderness and love.
The first vows are a concrete response to God's call and express the desire to follow Jesus Christ more closely, living the evangelical counsels and committing oneself to the charism and mission of the Congregation. It is a step that requires courage, trust and an open heart, sustained by the grace of God and the support of the community.
Dear Sisters Amanda and Ana Luiza, may Divine Providence continue to enlighten and strengthen you on your journey, giving you perseverance, joy, fidelity and missionary fruitfulness. May your lives be a sign of God's love in the world and an inspiring witness to other young women who are seeking to discern their vocation. Let us continue to pray together, praying that this journey may always be fruitful, full of light, and marked by fidelity to the call we have received, so that you may be able to bear witness with joy to God's provident love among men.
